The police, after a brief and cursory investigation, declared his death accidental. Case closed! But Esperança Boa-Morte, her sister, could not accept this conclusion so easily, because something was very wrong…

On the night of his death, next to Luís' body, a small glass spilled with orange liqueur was found—a seemingly banal detail, but one that raised an alarm in Esperança's mind. Louis hated orange. Its taste had made him sick since he was a child. He would never drink that of his own free will.
